The scrim tape provides a very tight super strong weave. There is also a difference in the coating. Armor Kote™ is an extremely durable fabric coating that is stronger, has the most UV stabilizer, and resists scuffing or wear better than any other cover made in the world. The coating is enveloped over the finest and tightest inner grid found in the industry. This material is 30% thinner and 40% stronger than any other material used in the winter pool cover arena.
